Meet the Team: Hayley Devine

Representing the ladies on the Shop Floor is Hayley Devine.

She’s been with us here at the Hemp Company for just over a year now so we figured it was about time for you to find out a little more about her.

Retail in the general sense was never really her vibe but that all changed when she started here. “The Hemp Company has made retail EASY. It’s such a free and easy-going space and all the lads make me laugh every single day!”

Day to day in Capel Street, Hayley informs customers about our wide range and selection of products but has also taken charge of the merchandising since she revealed herself to be a self- professed ‘tidy freak’. “It’s my job to make sure products look good on the floor and things are presented as best they can”.

Her favourite things about work are two-fold. One side – the people and the laughs and on the other; the everyday learning about the hemp industry and how this relates to customers who are “mostly shocked by the benefits of hemp and CBD”.

In just over a year Hayley has absorbed a lot of information about our powerful plant – “from building houses to making clothes and oils for wellbeing – it has really amazed me the different things you can do from one plant”. Getting to know each different brand, her absolute favourite products are the Hemp Company CBD Active+ (from €26.95) and the Full Spectrum CBD Smarties Cookies (€8.00), which she describes as ‘most delicious’!

When we caught up with our Shop Floor Manager Ricky a couple of weeks ago, he mentioned a funny story about Nutella… Hayley remembers it well; “one day there was a dude walking past who shouted in the shop at Ricky and said “here I have something for ya” and threw him a sachet of Nutella. It was so random and so funny you probably had to be there but that’s the kind of stuff that goes down on Capel Street”.
